Austin Theory is done waiting—and now he’s explaining why he aligned himself with The Vision to end 2025 with a bang.

After being unmasked as the mystery man from WarGames and officially joining The Vision on the December 29 episode of WWE Raw, Theory appeared on the Raw Recap show to open up about why he made this move. Theory started by explaining how his past mindset of relying on past accomplishments—like beating John Cena—held him back.

“To me, it’s about the future, and that’s exactly what The Vision is about. It’s about taking, and that’s what I’m about now. I’m not waiting for opportunities and looking at my past like, ‘Hey, I beat John Cena, hand me an opportunity.’”

He admitted that he used to lean heavily on his early success but lost his edge in the process.

“Like, when I really sit back and think about it, I went through a lot of big moments so quick in my career, and I lost myself and got comfortable—waiting for someone to give me a handout because I felt like I deserved it.”

Theory revealed that watching WWE from home during his time off made him realize how stagnant he’d become—and that no one was going to fix it but him.

“I could point it at myself. I know that if there’s anything I want, I can have it—but I’ve got to take it and put in the effort. The Vision was the perfect opportunity for that.”

Theory went on to point out that he felt alone in trying to represent the younger generation of WWE superstars until now.

“There was a time where I was all alone trying to take out all these old guys. There was no one else really young stepping up to the plate.”

But things have changed. With young stars like Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, and Bronson Reed in The Vision, Theory sees this faction as the future of WWE—and a force to be reckoned with.

“Now you’ve got guys like Bron Breakker, who’s going to be the next World Heavyweight Champion. Logan Paul—who doesn’t know Logan Paul? And Bronson Reed, the muscle on that guy, the Tribal Thief.”

Theory made it clear that his days of waiting and doubting are over. The Vision has lit a fire under him—and he’s not slowing down.

“When it comes to me, I’m not stopping. I don’t stop or fold, and I sure as hell don’t forget.”

Austin Theory is clearly locking in for a major 2026—and if his words are any indication, The Vision could become one of the most dominant factions in WWE.
