Austin Theory is opening up about the pressure that comes with working alongside Paul Heyman, and he says the WWE Hall of Famer gave him a very direct warning when The Vision first started coming together.
Theory has been featured prominently alongside Logan Paul and Paul Heyman as part of The Vision on WWE programming, placing him in close contact with one of the most influential figures in wrestling. While speaking with Adrian Hernandez on the Unlikely podcast, Theory was asked what has surprised him the most about spending time around both Heyman and Logan Paul.
Instead of sharing a funny moment or backstage story, Theory pointed to something much more serious. He explained that early in the group’s formation, Heyman gave him a message that made it clear just how important the opportunity was.
“Surprised me I think there's always a surprise. There's always something going on but I'll leave you with this. One thing Heyman told me at the beginning of all this is don't eff this up. So when the goat tells you that you don't eff it up and when you know he's backing you that means your foot is all the way down on the pedal and we're going full speed.”
That warning speaks to the level of trust and expectation that comes with being aligned with Heyman. Known for managing some of the biggest stars in wrestling history, Heyman’s support often signals that someone is being positioned for something bigger, and Theory made it clear that he took that message seriously.
With WrestleMania 42 getting closer and The Vision continuing to grow as a major presence on WWE television, Theory’s comments offer a look at how focused he is on making the most of the opportunity that Heyman helped put in front of him.
Do you think Paul Heyman’s warning shows that WWE sees Austin Theory as a major part of the future, or is this just the kind of pressure that comes with being in a top storyline? Drop your thoughts below and let us know what you think.
