Asuka Streak Coming to an End Soon?

As noted earlier today, WWE announced that Asuka would be teaming with The Miz as part of the new Mixed Match Challenge series that kicks off on Tuesday, January 16th.

Bryan Alvarez discussed the announcement on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live and speculated that Asuka’s streak could be coming to an end with the pair of these two. The belief is that they could end Asuka’s streak on the show so that they could gain exposure for the new show, which would ultimately make the show more valuable to Facebook. Basically, Asuka losing on the show would create major buzz online that would gain viewership.

Unless WWE plans to have The Miz & Asuka win the series, Asuka’s streak has a very strong chance of ending on Facebook Watch.
