Asuka is done staying silent—and this time, she’s going straight for the fans who mocked her painful injury.

The Empress of Tomorrow took to Twitter and fired back at fans who mocked her after a resurfaced interview revealed details about a painful in-ring accident. Asuka went after those who laughed at her injury and reminded them exactly who she is.

“Seeing people mocking me in the comments makes me realize once again how cruel the world is.”

The backlash stems from comments made by Shayna Baszler during her appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, where she recalled a 2021 match in which she accidentally kicked Asuka in the face, fracturing her tooth. Baszler remembered Asuka brushing it off backstage, saying she felt “no pain” and acting cheerful despite the damage.

“We worked the whole finish because we knew. Yeah, it was terrible. And she’s so badass. She came to the back afterwards, and was kind of covering her mouth because she’s embarrassed, whatever. But she was like, ‘No pain. I don’t know why.’ She was so jovial. I’m like, ‘I am so sorry. Oh my gosh.’ And she was like, ‘It’s okay. No pain.’ Crazy, just soccer kicked her in the face. She was like, ‘Yeah, it’s fine. Doesn’t even hurt.’”

Asuka, however, revealed the truth behind that reaction—she was hiding the pain to protect Baszler.

“My tooth was fractured due to a mistake by Shayna Baszler. At the time I told her I was okay because I did not want her to carry the guilt. But I ended up needing surgery and of course I was not okay.”

She added that her decision came from compassion and an understanding of how unpredictable the wrestling business can be.

“I just did not want her to feel responsible knowing that these things happen in our line of work.”

While she made peace with the incident, the cruel reaction from fans was something she couldn’t ignore. Still, Asuka made it clear she’s not letting the hate affect her.

“I blame no one. I do not even wish misfortune upon those who lack kindness. In fact, I am more cruel than these cruel people because I will be far happier than they are. While people spend their time mocking me, I am savoring and embracing every bit of my happiness. My ideal life is already nearing its completion. Thank you 🫰🤡”

Asuka didn’t just no-sell a brutal injury—she absorbed the pain, hid it to protect a colleague and moved forward with grace. Her message is a reminder that strength doesn’t always look like a comeback promo—it looks like choosing peace over payback.

How do you feel about Asuka’s decision to stay quiet for so long? Should more wrestlers speak up about their injuries—or is silence still seen as strength? Share your thoughts in the comments.
