Ash by Elegance didn’t hold back when asked about WWE’s second Evolution event, making it clear she felt left out of a moment she helped build.
During her appearance on Busted Open After Dark with Denise Salcedo, Ash—who competed in the original WWE Evolution pay-per-view back in 2018—was asked for her reaction to Evolution II, which took place this past weekend. While she praised the women involved, she didn’t shy away from saying the lack of an invite stung.
“It is amazing. And it’s also shocking that it took so long to have an Evolution II. I love it. I’m so proud of all the women… I literally went through my contacts and I was texting everybody like how excited and how proud I was of just watching everyone overall.”
But after celebrating the accomplishment, Ash admitted it was difficult not to be included, especially considering her history with WWE and her current run in TNA during a period of cross-promotional cooperation between the two companies.
“And I will say—it did sting a little bit because I’m like, hey, you know, I was in the first one. I would love to get a call to be in the second one. And this would just show, you know, the crossover between TNA and WWE. But you know what? I can’t cry over spoiled milk. I’m very proud of all the other women that were involved.”
Ash also pointed out the bigger picture—how the show symbolized growth in women’s wrestling across promotions. She gave flowers to those who made comebacks, like Naomi (Trinity), and acknowledged that her own omission doesn’t take away from the success of others. Still, she felt it was a missed chance for WWE to recognize her contributions and use the current WWE–TNA relationship to bring her back for a one-night celebration.
“This would just show, you know, the crossover between TNA and WWE.”
Ash’s tone was respectful, but her message was crystal clear: She believes her role in building women’s wrestling deserved more acknowledgment.
