Anna Jay Requires Surgery — Could Be Out For A Year

AEW is airing another installment of their Women’s World Title Eliminator Tournament tonight on YouTube. Sadly, Anna Jay will not be wrestling.

The company revealed that Anna Jay suffered a shoulder injury which will require surgery. The timeframe of her absence is six to twelve months. Madi Wrenkowski will wrestle in Anna Jay’s place.

Anna Jay was injured training & can’t compete tonight. Anna requires shoulder surgery & is expected to miss 6-12 months. She’s replaced in the Tournament by alternate @Madi_Wrenkowski, a student & protege of @thunderrosa22. Watch tonight 7/6c

This is a very tough break. Kenny Omega commented on her injury and said it’s “the nature of the beast.” We hope that Anna Jay heals up fast so she can get back to her work with the Dark Order.
