The Chase U leader is officially sidelined. On the April 1 episode of WWE NXT, Andre Chase received some bad news that could shake up the brand’s roster for weeks. During a backstage medical evaluation, Chase was informed that he has “cracked ribs” and is out of action with no clear timeline for a return.

This update came just one week after Chase suffered a rough loss to Ethan Page on the March 25 episode of NXT. While Chase was still dealing with the fallout, Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon showed up backstage with a wheelchair in hand, offering to roll their mentor out and take him home. The moment didn’t last long before Jordynne Grace and Jaida Parker stormed through the area mid-brawl, bringing even more chaos to the scene.

WWE officials haven’t provided any more details on Chase’s recovery timeline, but cracked ribs are no joke. Fans of Chase U will have to wait and see how long the professor of the people will be out of action—and what that means for the faction’s future.

Elsewhere on the same episode, a lot went down. Newcomers Swipe Right made their first appearance and instantly challenged NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom to a title match. Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Oba Femi were booked in a triple threat match for the NXT Championship at Stand & Deliver. Dark State showed up unannounced and wiped everyone out.

But despite all that chaos, Andre Chase’s injury might be the most impactful piece of news. His absence could leave a major hole in NXT’s programming.

How do you think Chase U will handle things without their leader? Should WWE keep the group going or hit pause until Chase returns? Drop your thoughts below and let us know how you feel.
