Andrade’s sudden WWE departure has the wrestling world buzzing about where he’ll land next, and according to AEW sources, a return to his former company isn’t out of the question.

Andrade originally left AEW in December 2023 under less-than-ideal circumstances. AEW had offered him a long-term contract extension they believed he was ready to sign, but shortly before his final match with Miro, he informed them he wouldn’t be committing. That decision forced AEW to change creative plans, and he soon wrapped up his run with the company.

Even with that unexpected turn, AEW sources via Fightful Select made it clear that no bridges were burned. Unless a departure is tied to something serious, AEW’s stance is that the door remains open. Tony Khan even praised Andrade during the AEW Worlds End post-show press conference, saying they parted on good terms despite the situation.

Now that Andrade has left WWE, speculation is growing about whether he could walk back through AEW’s doors. His past run in the company left unfinished business, and with Khan’s public support, the possibility of a comeback is very real.
