Andrade is finally speaking out—kind of. Days after reports confirmed his abrupt release from WWE, the former United States Champion took to Instagram on September 15, 2025, and posted a photo that says everything without saying much at all.

The image shows Andrade’s hand, pen in hand, writing the words “THANK YOU!” on a sheet of paper beside a lit cigar, a gold watch, and a glass of liquor. No caption except “#WWE.” Just like that, El Idolo officially closed the chapter on his second WWE run.

This is the first public message from Andrade since news broke that WWE had quietly terminated his contract following multiple backstage issues. According to earlier reports, the company was unable to get in touch with him for several weeks.

It was also revealed that Andrade had at least one wellness policy violation during his latest run. However, WWE never announced the violation—a new trend since the 2023 TKO merger, which has kept disciplinary actions under wraps.

To make matters worse, Andrade was reportedly told to leave a recent WWE taping and escorted out of the building. That incident, along with his vanishing act, reportedly played a role in WWE’s decision to cut ties.

Despite the drama, AEW remains a possible landing spot. He left that company on good terms in 2023 and didn’t burn any bridges. Still, with how messy this WWE departure turned out, the question now is whether AEW—or anyone else—will want to pick up the pieces.
