Andrade El Idolo is a professional wrestler, and he has no known connection to any Mexican drug cartel. That won’t stop the idea from getting out there.
The pro wrestling world is full of rumors, and sometimes they can take on a life of their own. That being said, Andrade had to address something he’s heard far too often at this point.
One fan posted on X to say spread a rumor that Andrade may be connected to some very dangerous people. They had no grounds for spreading this alleged story, but that didn’t stop them from posting.
“Gonna be wild for me to say this. This is allegedly coming from me, but is it crazy to think Andrade may be involved in some Mexican cartel business or nationwide crime scheme. Something big is going on here.”
Andrade didn’t let this go without replying. He posted on X to shut things down, and he asked people to calm down.
“What?? Tranquilo amigo!!
Will everyone please stop making things up?!”
It should be noted that multiple reports from the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of the Treasury mention individuals with names like Andrade who are in connection to Mexican drug trafficking. None of those people are the Andrade that we all know from his stint in WWE, AEW, WWE, and then AEW once again.
We will keep an eye open for more stories about Andrade. Hopefully, he can keep his nose clean as he continues shutting down whatever fake story he may see floating around about him.
