Andrade’s second run with WWE came to an abrupt end in September 2025, but now he’s setting the record straight on exactly why he was let go. Despite reports claiming he ghosted the company or no-showed bookings, the former WWE star says those rumors are flat-out false.

Speaking with Eduardo Bates, Andrade denies ever ignoring the company or skipping out on scheduled appearances. He started by reflecting on his time in WWE and made it clear there are no hard feelings.

“The truth is long. The explanation is long. And I’m grateful to WWE—I don’t feel bad personally about having left WWE. I’m really grateful for what I did there, even if it was only about a year and a half, a little more than a year and a half.”

As for the rumors that he missed dates or stopped responding to WWE, Andrade shot that down hard. He says people completely misunderstood what happened.

“I never missed dates. I never stopped answering my phone. Whoever spread that gossip, or whoever started that story that I went on a trip and didn’t pick up the phone… What really happened is: I was on a trip, a day I wasn’t scheduled, they called me, I called back like one or two hours later.”

Andrade clarified that there was a short window where he didn’t answer right away when WWE called him—but that’s all it was. He didn’t intentionally ghost the company at all.

“It was one, two, three hours that I didn’t answer. The company called me and sent me a message like, ‘Where are you? How are you?’ Things like that. I didn’t respond for one or two hours, and that’s it.”

Andrade also explained he was simply out of the country when the call came in—and pointed to the usual travel complications like time difference, places with no signal; not negligence or refusal to respond.

“Yes, I was out of the country, but nothing more than that. I explained to them, ‘I’m out of the country, that’s why I didn’t answer.’ Time difference, internet, places with no signal, lots of things. But nothing like ‘I never answered them’ or anything like that.”

Andrade’s message is loud and clear: he didn’t disappear, he didn’t miss dates, and he didn’t duck WWE. While the company may have had other reasons to let him go, he’s making it known that ghosting them wasn’t one of them. Whether fans believe his side or not, he’s moving forward with no regrets.
