Andrade is finally putting rumors to rest about why his second run with WWE ended—and he’s calling out fans who are dragging his ex-wife Charlotte Flair into it.
In a new interview on the El Ring podcast, Andrade made it clear that Charlotte had absolutely nothing to do with his WWE departure in September 2025. The former WWE star directly addressed speculation that his divorce played a role in his exit—and he shut that talk down fast.
“We started having some problems, and then came the divorce. People ask if she had something to do with my leaving WWE — she didn’t. She never went to management to get me fired or anything like that. I respect her a lot. She was an incredible woman, a great wife. I wish her the best.”
The pair were married in 2022, but finalized their divorce in October 2024. Despite the split, Andrade says he still has deep respect for the 14-time WWE Women’s Champion and wants fans to stop dragging her online.
“And to the fans who keep bringing up Charlotte… in this case I admit, as a person and as a man, that I was the one who failed in the relationship. I can’t talk badly about her. She’s an amazing woman and I wish her the best — she knows that.”
The Mexican star ended the discussion with a message to WWE fans who are pointing fingers at Charlotte Flair, telling them to stop bothering her.
“And to the fans: stop bothering her, please. It’s none of your business. She had no fault.”
Andrade’s comments show a level of maturity rarely seen in public breakups—especially when they’re played out under the spotlight of pro wrestling. While he may be done with WWE for now, he’s made it clear that Charlotte Flair deserves zero blame for how things ended.
What do you think about Andrade’s comments? Should fans back off when it comes to personal lives, or is this part of the package that comes with being in WWE? Drop your thoughts below!
