Andrade is coming back to the ring—and he’s not waiting for WWE’s permission to live his life.

In a twist to an already messy contract drama, Andrade revealed during an interview with Riju Dasgupta that he’s officially stepping back into the ring on December 13 for WWC Lockout in Puerto Rico. This return comes while his 12-month non-compete clause with WWE is technically still active. But thanks to a last-minute legal green light, Andrade says he’s free to compete—and he’s fired up for the opportunity. When asked about his status, the Mexican star made it clear he is just happy to be wrestling again.

“I’ll be wrestling at World Wrestling Council’s Lockout event, which is happening tonight. I feel amazing. I’m ready for tonight, and I’m so happy to be back in the ring.”

Andrade said he was sidelined for three months due to legal red tape stemming from the infamous non-compete clause WWE enforced after his controversial release. But now? He’s got the letter—and he’s making the most of it.

“We had some small issues because I had a 12-month no-compete clause. Today, my lawyer texted me and told me, ‘Andrade, we have a signed letter saying you can participate tonight in Puerto Rico with WWC.’”

The WWC Lockout event will see Andrade challenge Xavant for the Universal Heavyweight Championship at the Pepin Cestero Arena. It’s his first match back—and a big one.

“This is the last show of the year with this company, and I have an opportunity to compete for the title… I feel like I deserve this opportunity. I was at home for three or four months.”

The former champ, who has openly battled legal troubles, personal heartbreak, and contract headaches, showed nothing but gratitude and excitement to finally be back doing what he loves.

“I just want to get back in the ring, win the title, and celebrate… I love Puerto Rico. I love this company. WWC is very important in wrestling history. Many wrestlers came through Puerto Rico in the past—Ric Flair, The Undertaker, and many others.”

And for fans wondering if this return might mean something bigger—maybe even a comeback to AEW? He noted he just hopes to return to AEW soon.

“I hope to be back in AEW soon. I don’t know when that will be, but right now, this letter is just for this show in Puerto Rico.”

Whether this move was a carefully negotiated one-off or the start of Andrade getting back his wrestling future, one thing is clear—he’s not staying silent or sidelined anymore.
