Andrade has worked under three of the most powerful men in wrestling — Vince McMahon, Triple H, and Tony Khan — and he’s walking away with respect for all of them. But when reflecting on each relationship, Andrade revealed that Vince McMahon once surprised him with a rare show of compassion during one of the lowest points in his life.
During an interview with Riju Dasgupta, Andrade admitted that he never had a particularly close relationship with Vince, unlike Triple H or Tony Khan. Despite that, Vince reached out when Andrade’s mother passed away:
“I don’t have so much history or relationship with Vince. Not so close like Tony or like Triple H. I never—don’t knock the door, say ‘Hey Vince, I’m here.’ But I appreciate things like… when my mom passed away, I remember Vince text me like, ‘Hey Andrade, I know your mom passed away… if you need something, just let me know. Take your time.’ Like, I cannot say nothing bad about Vince.”
He went on to praise both Triple H and Tony Khan as standout leaders in their own right, crediting each man for the success of their respective companies:
“Tony and Triple H, both are great. Tony has the company in AEW — this is why AEW is still on the top. And Triple H now moves WWE. So I can’t say nothing negative. They are the bosses and have many talent, many departments, many things.”
Wrapping up, Andrade expressed gratitude for all three men, making it clear that their leadership styles may differ, but they’ve all earned his respect:
“For me, the three bosses are amazing. I say thank you to Triple H. I want to say thank you to Tony. Tony is very friendly with everybody. Triple H is different, but you can speak with him too in a different way. But the three are amazing.”
Andrade’s perspective offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to work under such high-profile decision-makers — and how small gestures, even from a distance, can leave a lasting impact.
