Andrade is owning up to the end of his marriage to Charlotte Flair, admitting that he was to blame for its failure.

Speaking with Riju Dasgupta, the Mexican star didn’t dodge the question when it came to his 2024 divorce from the 14-time Women’s Champion. Instead, he took full accountability as he called her an amazing woman.

“She is amazing. Charlotte is amazing. She’s an amazing woman and an amazing person. She was an amazing wife.”

Andrade made it crystal clear that the split wasn’t due to anything Charlotte did. If anything, he says he’s the one who failed in the relationship.

“It was my fault. She didn’t lose me — I lost her. I did something, or maybe I didn’t do something.”

He also addressed the online narrative surrounding Charlotte Flair’s past marriages, pointing out that fans are focusing on the wrong things on social media.

“People talk on Twitter and Instagram and everywhere, but it’s like, hey, I know she’s been married a couple of times, but I’m a man and I respect her, and I wish her nothing but the best.”

Andrade made it clear that Charlotte deserves no blame in their divorce, once again taking full responsibility and admitting he was the problem

“I lost her. She did not lose me. It was a simple divorce, and I said that, yeah. But the problem was not her. The problem was me.”

This comes after Andrade shut down speculation that Charlotte Flair had anything to do with his WWE departure this year.

“People ask if she had something to do with my leaving WWE — she didn’t. She never went to management to get me fired or anything like that. I respect her a lot. She was an incredible woman, a great wife. I wish her the best.”

From the way Andrade speaks about her now, it’s clear that Charlotte still holds a lot of respect in his eyes—personally and professionally. In an era where public breakups often turn ugly, Andrade’s message is different: accountability, respect, and never blaming the other person.
