Kamille worked as Mercedes Moné’s bodyguard for several months but decided to quit that role after dealing with mistreatment and abuse from Moné. Kamille has remained absent from AEW television since November 2024 and now the reason behind her absence and backstage heat has been revealed.
While speaking on the Keepin It 100 podcast, Disco Inferno was asked about rumors that Kamille might have backstage heat in AEW. This comes after Inferno had earlier hinted it might be because she made it seem like WWE was more interested in her than they really were during contract talks and he was asked for more details.
“So, Disco, about a month ago, you mentioned that you had some inside info regarding why Kamille might have heat in AEW. You hinted at something to do with her possibly overstating WWE’s interest in her during contract talks. Can you provide more information here? What is going on with Kamille and AEW?”
Inferno stated that he heard that AEW felt she wasn’t being honest with them to try and get a better deal. Once they realized that, it may have hurt her standing with the company. He pointed out she hasn’t been on TV in a while, which could be related.
“That’s all the information I know, is that they found she was kind of—I’d heard that she was being dishonest in her dealings with them, trying to secure a contract. And when they found that out—well, when was the last time she’s been on TV?”
This comes after Kamille previously made it clear she was unhappy with how AEW used her character, as she stated that she never got a real chance to show different sides of herself.
Kamille was last seen during a November episode of AEW Rampage, where she was taken out backstage, effectively writing her off television. To add to all this, Tony Khan has already addressed Kamille’s status and made it as if she was going to return to television but that still hasn’t happened yet. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see if Kamille will return to AEW ever again as it seems unlikely now.
