Alexa Bliss Confirms She’s ‘100 Percent’ Willing to Bring Back Dark Character

Alexa Bliss is currently teaming up with Charlotte Flair and it’s working wonders for them, but now Little Miss Bliss has addressed possibly going back to her dark Alexa gimmick.

While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Alexa Bliss confirmed that Chelsea Green originally pitched the idea of becoming the real-life version of Lilly, the eerie doll associated with Bliss’s supernatural persona. Bliss said Chelsea texted her during her maternity leave with the message, “Hey, one day I will be Lilly,” which Bliss found amusing.

“She had actually texted me, I think it was when I was on maternity leave, and she was like, ‘Hey, one day I will be Lilly.’” 

Bliss revealed that several WWE women have expressed a desire to bring Lilly to life onscreen. However, Bliss prefers to keep Lilly mysterious and without a human face for now. Even then, if WWE ever decides to make Lilly come alive, Bliss believes Chelsea Green would be the perfect choice.

“We’ve actually had a lot of people pitch to be the real life Lilly. For me, I like keeping Lilly as something that’s a little more mysterious. I like not putting a face to the name, but if the time ever came when they’re like, ‘Hey, we need to make Lilly come alive.’ I think Chelsea would be the perfect fit.”

Of course for Lilly to come to life, Alexa would need to return to her darker, supernatural character. When asked if she sees herself going back to that version, Bliss responded with full confidence, saying she absolutely would.

Bliss explained that her character is always evolving and hinted that she already has her next idea planned. For now, she’s enjoying the fun of not being aligned with Charlotte Flair, but teased that maybe Charlotte could even become the next Lilly.

“A hundred percent,” Bliss said. “One thing I’ve always said about my character is that it’s always evolving. I do have my next idea already for my character, but right now my character’s not friends with Charlotte. And that’s been a lot of fun, and who knows, maybe Charlotte will become the next Lilly.”

Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see when Alexa Bliss will eventually return to her darker character, as fans feel there’s still a lot of untapped potential in the gimmick as well.
