Alex Windsor has captured new gold after defeating Syuri to become the new NJPW Strong Women’s Champion.
The title change took place on March 8 during EVE Wrestle Queendom 8 at the Indigo at The O2 in London. Windsor secured the victory after blocking a kick from Syuri before unleashing multiple lariats. She finished the match with her Made in Japan finisher to score the pinfall and claim the championship.
This marks Windsor’s first reign with the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship. Syuri’s run with the title lasted 63 days, though she did not record any successful defenses during that time.
Despite the loss, Syuri remains a champion elsewhere. She is still the reigning IWGP Women’s Champion and continues to be a major presence across multiple promotions.
Windsor is also currently holding another major championship, as she serves as the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion. In addition to her independent success, Windsor is signed to All Elite Wrestling where she teams with Jamie Hayter as the duo known as the Brawling Birds.
Windsor now adds the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship to her growing list of accolades as she continues building momentum across multiple promotions.
