Aleister Black Injured & May Miss Takeover Brooklyn

The voodoo ass-kicker and former NXT Champion suffered an unfortunate injury in this past Saturday’s NXT Live Event in Las Vegas. According to Figure Four Online, Black was facing Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT title and went down when Ciampa crotched Aleister. The incident was supposedly quite scary, but Black appeared to be okay.

Figure Four also reports that Black will require surgery and miss some live events, but that he should recover quickly. No word yet if he’ll miss the big show at the Barclay’s Center where was scheduled to face Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano in a triple-threat for the NXT title.
