Alberto Del Rio was exiled from AAA following his loss to El Mesias on the July 25 episode of AAA Alianzas. While fans speculate about his wrestling future, it seems Del Rio will be part of a Mexican reality show very soon.

TV Azteca took to Twitter and announced that Alberto Del Rio will be joining the cast for the Mexican reality show La Granja VIP on Azteca Uno. Del Rio will join other celebrities living on a farm in a format similar to Big Brother or La Casa de los Famosos.

The show is set to premiere on October 12, with more celebrity participants expected to be revealed soon. Promotional posts teased Del Rio’s competitive spirit, asking if “El Patrón” can dominate farm life the way he once dominated the wrestling ring.

“From the squared circle to the farm… the champion is ready to take on a new challenge.🥊 Can he dominate the farm like he dominates the ring? Get ready, because “El Patrón” arrives with everything. 💪🔥 #LaGranjaVIP, premiere October 12 on #AztecaUno. 📺”

This comes after several top WWE Superstars such as Roman Reigns, Undertaker, Cody Rhodes and more want to see Alberto Del Rio back in the company following his AAA departure.

Whether this farm challenge is just a short break or part of a bigger comeback plan isn’t clear yet. But when La Granja VIP premieres on October 12, fans of wrestling and reality TV will be eager to see how Alberto Del Rio handles life on the show, so we’ll have to see how things will turn out for Mexico’s Greatest Export.
