Alberto Del Rio—aka El Patrón—isn’t ignoring the noise anymore. After fans chanted his name across recent WWE x AAA events, including TripleMania and Worlds Collide, the former WWE Champion finally responded—and it was pure gratitude.
Del Rio, who hasn’t been in a prominent televised role in AAA, posted a video on Twitter showing the crowd chanting “Alberto” in full force. That moment clearly struck a nerve with him, and he didn’t hold back in acknowledging the support.
“Thank you, my beloved Mexico, for not forgetting your patrón 🏆 #AlbertoDelRio #AlbertoElPatron #Mexico #LaGranjaVIP”
As previously reported, El Hijo del Vikingo recently snapped at fans chanting Del Rio’s name during AAA’s Heroes Inmortales, shouting back for them to “get over it” and declaring himself “the Canelo of AAA.” That crowd reaction might’ve been louder than even Vikingo expected—and now Del Rio is fully aware of the loyalty still running deep for him.
Del Rio’s message didn’t mention a return, but it sure didn’t deny it either. With the fan support, social buzz, and AAA’s top stars reacting, there’s real momentum behind the idea.
