“I didn’t know the kid. I came back to Mexico, Arena Ciudad de México. I win the AAA Mega Championship again. And suddenly this clown shows up — looking like a backup dancer from the Cumbia Kings, about 4’3″, with some haircut I couldn’t even describe. And he goes, ‘I want to be next in line, maybe the greatest champion.’ I told him, ‘Bro, the subway closes at 11. Beat it.’”

Del Río went on to disrespect Hijo del Vikingo’s father, King Vikingo, who had been involved in the feud.

What’s that man doing out there? He’s been retired forever. Is he out there trying to fan his son like a ceiling fan? Come on.” He further criticized King Vikingo’s place in the ring, saying, “That old man looked like he just got off a construction job, shoes covered in cement. And suddenly he’s getting in the ring? What’s that about? He’s like a streaker running onto a football field. Doesn’t belong. Doesn’t matter if you want a picture with Alberto Del Río or Messi or Alexis Vega — that’s not your place. Stick to what you know. And for that guy? Shoemaking. Construction. Whatever. Just stay in your lane.”

The entire episode, including the physical altercation, quickly went viral across Mexican media, with fans and journalists alike questioning Del Río’s behavior and whether the incident was part of a staged wrestling act or a real loss of control. Del Río’s aggressive outburst and personal attacks on both Hijo del Vikingo and his father have made waves beyond the wrestling world, sparking significant debate about the line between kayfabe and real-life anger.
