Alberto Del Rio was exiled from AAA following his loss to El Mesias on the July 25 episode of AAA Alianzas. While many wonder what’s next for him, Del Rio has now addressed his future in the business.

While speaking to Mas Lucha, Alberto Del Rio was asked if he had thought about what happened at Juan de la Barrera Arena. He noted that in wrestling, outside interference is common and allowed. He didn’t complain because he had done the same thing before, and this time, it happened to him.

Instead of being upset, Alberto said real athletes don’t waste time feeling sorry for themselves. They get back to work. He believes life always gives second chances, and wrestling is one of the best places for comebacks. For him, it’s just a matter of time before he gets his chance again.

“Well, it’s complicated, right? We’re in an industry — a style of wrestling — where interference is allowed left and right. I can’t complain. I’ve done it. At one point, they gave me a taste of my own medicine.

A real man, a true athlete, doesn’t sit around crying. He gets to work. And life gives you second chances — and pro wrestling is the number one when it comes to giving them. Only time will tell.”

When asked what’s next for him, Alberto Del Rio said he already knows. He sees himself as someone who’s always far ahead of everyone else. He believes he controls how people see him and how they react. He enjoys being able to guide the audience’s emotions, whether making them cheer, boo, or jump with excitement.

This ability to move the crowd is something he’s proud of. He says it doesn’t come for free, it takes years of hard work. He noted that the reason fans across the country support him, even when he plays the heel, is because they can see how much he puts into what he does. He gives his heart and soul every time he performs, and that’s why the people connect with him.

“El Patrón always knows. I’m 50 steps ahead of everyone. I’m the one who tells people what I want them to believe — and what I don’t want them to believe. I move them to the left, I move them to the right, and I end up making them jump.

That’s what El Patrón is. I have fun. I love seeing the power one has — earned through hard work — over the people. Because that’s not given, it’s earned. All this passion, this dedicated fanbase throughout the whole country — it’s simply because of that: wholehearted and soulful dedication.”

We had previously reported that Alberto Del Rio is expected to return to AAA in the future, but there are many who actually want to see him back in WWE as well. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see what ultimately becomes of the Mexican Superstar.
