Al Snow gave major credit to Paul Heyman while appearing on the Going Ringside podcast, making it clear he believes Heyman played a huge role in shaping wrestling talent and helping build ECW into something special.

During the interview, Snow was asked about Heyman’s place in wrestling history and whether he deserves recognition among the greatest minds in the business. Snow didn’t hesitate to give Heyman praise, pointing to his work behind the scenes as just as important as what fans saw on television.

Snow explained that Heyman’s role in booking and helping create ECW helped change the way wrestling was presented, and that his leadership helped push talent to grow in ways that lasted throughout their careers.

“Oh, I think he belongs in the Hall of Fame. Absolutely. Yeah. I think his influence not just on the in-ring part — booking and things like that — and creating ECW, or being a part of the creation of ECW, I should say.”

Snow continued by saying Heyman’s biggest strength may have been teaching wrestlers valuable knowledge that helped them succeed long after leaving ECW. He made it clear that Heyman’s guidance gave many performers tools they still rely on today.

“But his helping wrestlers develop and passing on a lot of intrinsic knowledge that's being lost — and he's still a bastion of it — that allows those people that he takes into his fold to be able to capitalize on and be a success.”

Snow’s comments show just how much respect Heyman still commands from wrestlers who worked closely with him. From helping build ECW to mentoring talent behind the scenes, his influence continues to be talked about years later.
