AJ Styles has competed against the best in professional wrestling, and that definitely includes John Cena. It’s been years since they last faced each other, and now Styles has made it clear that he would love to wrestle Cena again.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, AJ Styles talked about future opponents in WWE and that included John Cena. Styles was excited about the idea, saying he doesn’t make the decisions but would love for it to happen because it would be fun. He reflected on their chemistry in the ring, admitting he couldn’t explain why they work so well together despite being very different.

Recalling their first match, The Phenomenal One said wrestling John Cena for the first time felt special. He ended by saying he would love another opportunity to face Cena again.

“I don’t know. I don’t make those decisions. I would love to have it, for sure, it’d be fun.” He reflected on their past chemistry in the ring: “Honestly, I think that there’s something about, I can’t explain it, why him and I gel so well together. I don’t know what it is, because we’re definitely not the same in any kind of way. It just works.” Styles recalled his first experience working with Cena: “The first time I got in the ring with him it was like, Wow, dude, that was cool.” He concluded by reiterating his interest: “So, yeah, I would love the opportunity to work with Cena again.”

AJ Styles is currently engaged in a feud with Logan Paul and on the other hand, John Cena turned heel on Cody Rhodes and will battle The American Nightmare at WrestleMania 41.

With AJ Styles and John Cena on different paths in WWE, a rematch is uncertain at this point in time. However, given their history, fans would definitely love to see them face each other again. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether Styles and Cena will get to face each other one last time before Cena retires this year.
