AJ Styles’ return to WWE television just got even more interesting.
After it was revealed that SmackDown talent is being flown in for his advertised February 23 appearance on RAW in Atlanta, a new update has surfaced that adds fuel to the speculation.
According to PWInsider, Styles was present at the WWE Performance Center on February 18, 2026. That detail immediately raises eyebrows.
Styles was “retired” in storyline by GUNTHER at the 2026 Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, and next week’s RAW is being promoted as a celebration of his Hall of Fame-worthy career. Bryan Alvarez previously reported that SmackDown stars are being brought in specifically for the segment, suggesting WWE is planning something major in Atlanta.
Now, with Styles spotted at the Performance Center days before the show, fans are questioning whether this is strictly a tribute appearance — or something more.
The Performance Center is often used for rehearsals, production meetings, medical evaluations, and in-ring preparation. While it doesn’t confirm a return to action, it certainly keeps the door open for possibilities beyond a simple farewell speech.
Atlanta is a city closely tied to Styles’ career, making the February 23 RAW an emotional setting. But with cross-brand talent reportedly involved and Styles now seen at WWE headquarters in Orlando, the situation feels less straightforward.
Is AJ Styles just preparing for a celebration — or could there be one more twist before the Phenomenal One calls it a career? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
