GUNTHER is probably the most hated heel in WWE right now, and it is for good reason. Since he beat John Cena in his final match, you never know what he will say, or do, next.

The January 5 episode of WWE RAW was a very special night in Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center. They went all out with their Stranger Things tie-in, and GUNTHER was there for the party.

As GUNTHER made his way out during the first hour of RAW this week, Corey Graves said that Vecna is more sympathetic than the Ring General. Since making John Cena tap out in his final match, the former World Heavyweight Champion has been on a roll.

GUNTHER released a t-shirt that proclaimed John Cena “tapped out like a…” but he wasn’t done yet. The Ring General had a lot on his mind as he walked past the Demogorgans in the RAW Stranger Things set this week.

Before GUNTHER’s promo, they aired a Stranger Things-esk title card that said “He Who Remains,” which is very accurate. Fans booed him relentlessly before he even got a chance to say a word.

GUNTHER said that he’s been asked by management to “show a little bit of respect.” Fans chanted “you tapped out” at him, referencing how Jey Uso beat him at WrestleMania 41. Before GUNTHER could finish his next sentence, AJ Styles came out to confront him.

Fans chanted for AJ Styles before he got started on GUNTHER. However, GUNTHER wasn’t about to back down. He asked what “little AJ is going to do about it.” To that, Styles slapped the taste out of GUNTHER’s mouth. The two had a head-to-head after that, and it was tense.

“That’s what I thought, nothing!” AJ Styles said after GUNTHER didn’t fire back. Then Styles dropped his microphone and simply left the ring as he made a big statement in the process.
