AJ Styles is seen as one of the best pro wrestlers in the business since his in-ring skills are what brought him to the dance in the first place. However, he recently faced a lot of backlash for his comments about wrestling being more about moments, and now he has responded to the same.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, AJ Styles stated that he believes that people don’t remember the wrestling itself but the moments. His goal is to create memorable moments rather than just focus on in-ring action.

“I’ve realized that people don’t remember wrestling. They remember moments. And I want to make moments happen rather than the wrestling.”

One fan on Twitter reacted to AJ Styles’ comment with frustration, questioning how someone like him could say such a thing. They pointed out that Styles made a huge impact in TNA and ROH with his wrestling, led the Bullet Club, and is considered one of the best all-around performers ever. The fan ended by suggesting that WWE changes wrestlers over time.

“i’m sorry, AJ STYLES of all people saying this shit??? the guy who sent shockwaves in tna and roh with his wrestling? the former leader of the bullet club? one of the best all-rounder guys EVER? yeah man wwe just cooks people”

It didn’t stop there, as other fans called out AJ Styles for going against what he stood for. AJ Styles responded to the backlash by explaining his point, saying that moments happen within wrestling matches. He stated that wrestlers do crazy things in order to create those memorable moments, saying, “Moments, there are moments in wrestling matches. Why do you think we do these crazy things…. Its for that moment.”

No matter what people think of AJ Styles’ opinion, there’s no denying his impact on wrestling. He has created great moments while still being an amazing wrestler, making him one of the best ever but it’s understandable why some fans were offended by what Styles had to say.
