AJ Styles is officially back where it all began—TNA Wrestling.

After days of speculation and a not-so-subtle teaser during iMPACT! on AXS TV, TNA President Carlos Silva has confirmed that “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles will be at TNA Slammiversary this Sunday, July 20th, at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. Silva broke the news to Fightful Select following a series of cryptic social media hints that had fans reading between the lines.

The speculation started when Silva tweeted that Slammiversary would be “PHENOMENAL,” igniting online chatter that Styles—one of TNA’s most iconic stars—was set for a comeback. That was followed by a Styles-themed vignette during Thursday’s iMPACT! episode. Now, there’s no mystery left.

“AJ Styles will be part of Slammiversary on Sunday,” Silva confirmed.

While Silva didn’t reveal exactly what Styles will be doing at the show, the confirmation alone has turned this year’s Slammiversary into a must-see event. He also noted that they’re adjusting the venue to meet fan demand:

“We’re moving the stage back to accommodate more fans,” Silva posted on social media, as excitement around the event exploded.

Slammiversary 2025 already had a stacked lineup. Trick Williams, currently holding the TNA World Championship and representing WWE’s NXT, will defend his title in a three-way bout against Joe Hendry and local favorite Mike Santana. In another major cross-promotional clash, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne takes on TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich—with both titles on the line.

Styles’ return adds to the star power and nostalgia. After all, he helped build the foundation of TNA before becoming one of the biggest names in wrestling history.

There’s no word yet on whether Styles will be stepping into the ring or simply showing up for a moment, but the appearance alone is enough to shake the industry.
