AJ Styles has officially thrown his support behind Danhausen following the controversial reaction to his WWE debut at Elimination Chamber 2026.

Danhausen’s arrival came after weeks of WWE hyping a mysterious crate reveal during the February 28 premium live event in Chicago. When the moment finally happened, Danhausen emerged from a coffin alongside theatrical dancers. Instead of overwhelming excitement, the reveal drew mixed reactions, with many fans criticizing the payoff both inside the United Center and across social media.

As the backlash grew, WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Morton stepped in to defend Danhausen, calling out critics and emphasizing the importance of respecting wrestlers who put in the work to earn their opportunities.

“I see a lot of ‘professional’ wrestlers dissing the success of their peers. If you f’n work hard, dedicate time to your career, put some effort in a gym, & go get em’. Opportunities will present themselves. Congratulations @DanhausenAD 🤟”

That message quickly caught the attention of AJ Styles, who chose to publicly endorse Morton’s statement. Rather than staying silent, Styles quote tweeted Morton and made his support clear in a simple but meaningful response.

“Well said.”

Styles’ endorsement carries significant weight given his position as one of WWE’s most respected veterans. While fan opinion remains divided about Danhausen’s debut presentation, Styles’ decision to endorse Morton’s message shows that within the locker room and wrestling community, there is strong support for Danhausen as he begins his WWE run.
