The 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble match just got a massive addition—AJ Lee is expected to compete in the match.

WrestleVotes confirmed during a live Q&A that AJ Lee will be one of the 30 Superstars competing at the January 31 Premium Live Event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“AJ Lee is in the Rumble. She’s part of the roster now and they need 30 Superstars. So yeah, she’s in the Rumble.”

AJ Lee was last seen at the Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 Premium Live Event, where she competed in the brutal WarGames match and ended up helping her team pick up the win after tapping out Becky Lynch. That finish—and that moment—made it clear WWE has big plans for AJ heading into the Royal Rumble.

This comes after WWE dropped the official Rumble poster, which already includes massive stars like Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton, Maxxine Dupri, and Stephanie Vaquer, setting the stage for a massive women’s match.

As previously reported by Wrestling Observer, WWE is currently planning just four matches total for the event—two Rumble matches and two title bouts that have yet to be finalized. But with AJ Lee expected to be back in the mix, the Women’s Royal Rumble will definitely become a must-see match.

Do you think AJ Lee is a sleeper pick to win the 2026 Royal Rumble? Or is someone else destined to headline WrestleMania 42? Sound off in the comments.
