Saraya still hasn’t made her way back to WWE — and while the company reportedly has no interest in bringing her back, there’s now a new voice pushing hard in the opposite direction.

The update comes from AJ Lee, who was asked about a potential reunion with Saraya during an appearance on The Takedown on April 7, 2026. And unlike WWE’s reported stance, Lee made it clear she would welcome Saraya back immediately — even naming her as one of the first people she’d bring in.

Lee first made it clear just how strongly she feels about Saraya’s return, grouping her with another familiar name from her era: “I love Paige… if I could bring somebody back, her and Kaitlyn. Let’s get them back.”

From there, Lee went deeper — reflecting on their history together and how much Saraya meant to her early on, while also pointing to how things could come full circle today.

“It would be great. She's so talented and I knew it from day one. We'd always joke that I was her fairy godmother and I just took her under my wing and tried to protect her. And just to see her now, it would be kind of heartwarming and healing, and she would be a great addition to this locker room.”

Lee didn’t stop at nostalgia — she also stated how much WWE’s environment has evolved, suggesting that today’s locker room is a completely different space than what Saraya experienced before.

“I think this place has really come a long way and the women work together so beautifully, and they're so supportive. I would love for her to experience just how fun it is now.”

That perspective comes at a time when reports have already made WWE’s position clear. Despite Saraya openly saying she would’ve returned if contacted — even around Evolution 2 — the company never reached out and reportedly hasn’t discussed rehiring her internally.

So while Saraya’s return still isn’t in the cards from WWE’s side, AJ Lee’s comments introduce a different angle — one rooted in respect, history, and a belief that things backstage are better than ever.

Do you think AJ Lee is right — should WWE give Saraya another shot now that the locker room culture has changed? Drop your thoughts and feedback below.
