AJ Lee Says Paige Returning To WWE Would Be ‘Heartwarming And Healing’

AJ Lee didn’t hold back when talking about Paige — and she made it clear that seeing her return would mean a lot on a personal level.

During an interview with Rick Ucchino for Sports Illustrated, AJ Lee was asked about the possibility of Paige stepping back into WWE. The response showed just how strong their connection still is. AJ explained that she always believed in Paige’s talent and even joked that she helped guide her early on.

“It would be great. She's so talented and I knew it from from day one and we we always joke that I was her fairy godmother. And I just like took her under my wing and tried to protect her.”

She then explained that seeing Paige back today wouldn’t just be exciting — it would feel emotional.

“And just to see her now would be just kind of heartwarming and healing and she'd be a great addition to the locker room, I think.”

AJ also pointed out that the women’s division today is very different from what it used to be, saying the locker room environment has changed for the better.

“This place has really come a long way and the women work together so beautifully and they're so supportive and I would love for her to experience just like how fun it is now.”

Paige returning to WWE has been talked about for years, and comments like these only add more fuel to that conversation — especially coming from someone who shared such a big part of her career.
