WWE pulls out all the stops whenever WrestleMania season starts. We are on the road to the show of shows, and AJ Lee is back in the fold.
The February 9 episode of WWE RAW went down at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. The show started out by showing off some Superstars who made the show, and AJ Lee shocked everyone by appearing alongside her husband.
Becky Lynch was on her way to the ring for her opening promo. She stopped when she saw AJ Lee and she threw a little hissy fit about it. She wasn’t happy about the former Divas Champion showing up.
The Man took the microphone for that opening promo, and she was irate about AJ Lee showing up this week. She didn’t get to say much before AJ Lee’s music hit, and she came out skipping to the ring.
The promo battle started as AJ Lee said she was out to support Maxxine Dupri in her Women’s Elimination Chamber match tonight. Becky Lynch wasn’t amused as she compared AJ Lee to a little chihuahua.
AJ Lee said that was a tad dramatic from Becky Lynch, and she didn’t do anything except for beat her at WarGames and WrestlePalooza. Also, AJ Lee cost Becky her title at Madison Square Garden. Becky Lynch wasn’t about to let water go under any bridge, because The Man just wanted to know “what’s it gonna take to get rid of you.”
That is when Becky Lynch offered a match against AJ Lee at Elimination Chamber in Chicago. It didn’t take much time for that match to get made official. AJ Lee got it to be a title match because she goaded Becky Lynch into making the match worth it. Even though Becky didn’t want to put the championship on the line at first.
