AJ Francis Says He Felt Disrespected By Hulk Hogan’s Racist Comments

AJ Francis has made it clear he felt disrespected by Hulk Hogan’s racist comments that were made public in 2015.

While speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, AJ Francis revealed thoughts about Hulk Hogan in light of Hogan’s past racist comments. He admitted that his feelings have changed and that he no longer sees Hogan the same way.

Francis made it clear that he would have no problem telling Hogan that to his face, saying, “Times have changed. I don’t feel the same. Let’s be real—I don’t. I would say that to his face too.”

When asked if there’s anything Hulk Hogan could do to earn back his respect, Francis said a genuine and thorough apology would be a start. He admitted Hogan’s status as one of the top performers in wrestling history but also said he felt personally disrespected by some of Hogan’s past remarks. Francis noted that he never said anything that would personally disrespect Hogan.

Francis also mentioned that he wasn’t present when Hogan made his apology, but based on what he heard from people who were there, the apology didn’t seem sincere at all. According to Francis, those who were directly involved at the time didn’t accept it, so he sees no reason why he should accept it.

“I mean, he can actually give a real, thorough apology. And the truth is, whether you like him or not, he’s one of the top performers in the business. But I’ve been personally disrespected by some of the things he’s said. I don’t feel like I’ve ever said anything that would personally disrespect him.

No, I wasn’t there when he made the apology, but from what I heard from people who were, there wasn’t much of one. The people who were directly involved at the time didn’t buy it—so why should I?”

Shelton Benjamin has already made it clear he has a lot of hatred for Hulk Hogan due to his racist remarks. Nonetheless, only time will tell whether the Hulkster will ever issue a proper apology for his remarks but at this point in time, fans don’t feel it’s likely.
