AJ Francis’ future with TNA Wrestling was uncertain not long ago — but now it looks like the company has locked him down again.
According to Skubie Mageza of ESPN, Francis has re-signed with TNA for the remainder of 2026, ending speculation about his contract status after earlier reports suggested his deal was approaching its expiration. Mageza reported the news on March 10, 2026, noting that the former Maryland Terrapins and NFL defensive lineman decided to stay with the promotion as it continues expanding its visibility.
“Former Maryland Terrapin, and NFL Defensive Lineman, A.J. Francis has re-signed with TNA for the remainder of 2026.”
Francis reportedly pointed to one major factor behind the decision — the growing partnership between TNA and AMC, which he believes will increase the promotion’s exposure moving forward: “A major reason behind his decision is the continued exposure and growth of the partnership between TNA & AMC.”
The news comes after Fightful Select previously reported that Francis was among several TNA talents whose contracts were expected to come up for renewal before the end of 2025.
Francis had already faced a similar situation once before. He reached free agency at the end of 2024 before eventually returning to TNA with a deal that ran through 2025. At the time, sources indicated that the relationship between both sides remained strong and that TNA hoped to keep him long-term.
Now, with a new agreement in place through 2026, TNA appears to have secured one of its most visible personalities as the company continues building momentum with its expanding television reach.
