TNA Wrestling star AJ Francis stirred up Twitter on January 5, 2025, after flexing a new Nintendo Switch 2 and calling fans “broke” in a blunt post. But the real story came later, when Francis clapped back at critics—and name-dropped AEW’s MJF to prove his point.

Francis originally posted a photo of himself in a car, holding up the newly released Nintendo Switch 2 with a smug look, writing: “Yall broke fr 💰”

The comment didn’t sit well with fans, who quickly jumped into his replies calling the post tone-deaf and unnecessary. But instead of backing down, Francis doubled down and questioned why MJF is celebrated for similar remarks.

“Yall let the other wrestler that goes by 3 initials call yall broke and ‘poors’ all the time and you laugh and think it’s funny… I wonder what the difference could possibly be for AJF to get yall this mad? Interesting…”

The “3 initials” reference was clearly aimed at former AEW World Champion MJF, who’s known for mocking fans by calling them “poors” during promos and interviews. Francis seems to be pointing out a double standard—one that he’s not afraid to call out publicly.

AJ Francis has never been shy about speaking his mind, but this latest exchange has added another layer to the conversation around class jabs in wrestling promos—and who gets a pass for throwing them.
