Jon Moxley shocked fans at WrestleDream 2024 by winning the AEW World Title from Bryan Danielson and then suffocating him with a plastic bag. He ushered in a new era of AEW by debuting his new faction and now the possibility of AEW adding more members has been revealed.
Jon Moxley’s current faction is called Death Riders and it comprises Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir so far. They have been laying waste to many AEW stars over the past couple of months, and there seems to be no end in sight for the carnage they continue to create.
While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked whether AEW had any plans on adding more members to Jon Moxley’s Death Riders. Sapp noted that at the moment, AEW has no plans of adding more members to the faction.
“I haven’t heard of that imminently.”
As for Jon Moxley’s current direction, he is set to defend his AEW World Championship against Orange Cassidy in the main event of the Full Gear pay-per-view, so fans can expect the Death Riders to interfere in the match and possibly cost Cassidy his shot at the title. Nonetheless, only time will tell if AEW adds more members to Death Riders, as it’s clear AEW has long-term plans for the faction.
