MJF is officially on his way back to AEW—and it’s going down at Worlds End later this month.

After ghosting the wrestling world for most of 2025 to film Happy Gilmore 2 and Violent Night 2, the self-proclaimed generational talent is heading back to the company that made him a star. And according to WrestleVotes, he’s already in the mix for AEW’s year-end pay-per-view on December 27 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

“According to sources, even though he hasn’t returned yet, as of Thanksgiving, MJF has been factored into Worlds End plans. So Worlds End, end of the month here in Chicago, we’re reporting that as of the holiday last week, plans included MJF being at this pay-per-view.”

The last time fans saw MJF in an AEW ring was back in September, when he took a clean loss to Mark Briscoe at All Out. Before that, he dropped the CMLL World Heavyweight Title to Mistico and told the world he needed to step away until he could face himself again.

Since then, he’s been playing movie star—shooting Violent Night 2 in Winnipeg and joining the cast of Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore sequel. But now that filming has wrapped, the curtain’s ready to rise again.

AEW’s Worlds End is already being hyped as a major turning point for the company, and MJF returning in front of a red-hot Chicago crowd could instantly shift the landscape heading into 2026. Whether he shows up to settle scores or start fresh, one thing’s for sure—he won’t stay silent.
