AEW just pulled the curtain back on one of its strangest and most cryptic storylines yet—and fans are still trying to process what they saw.

During the October 1, 2025, edition of AEW Dynamite, the company finally revealed the identity behind the mysterious glitches and sci-fi teases that have haunted Collision and pay-per-views for weeks: The Clone has arrived.

The moment came during the TNT Championship match between Kyle Fletcher and Orange Cassidy. Just as Cassidy was climbing the ropes, Hologram appeared at ringside and kicked the rope, knocking Cassidy off balance. Fletcher immediately capitalized on the distraction and pinned Cassidy to retain the TNT Title.

But that wasn’t the real shocker. After the match, Hologram walked up the ramp with Fletcher and was greeted by the rest of the Don Callis Family. That’s when things took a surreal turn—he ripped off his shirt, revealing that he wasn’t Hologram at all. He was The Clone, the same mysterious figure teased for months in eerie on-screen glitches and cryptic messages like “a clon has been activated.”

This reveal confirmed fan suspicions dating back to ROH Death Before Dishonor, when digital interference first hinted at a duplicate entity. The speculation only intensified after AEW filed trademarks for both “The Clone” and “El Clon” in September. Now, it’s all come full circle.

The twist also comes after Bryan Alvarez revealed on Wrestling Observer Live that the real Hologram is suffering from a serious knee injury and will be out of action for a “long, long time.” That injury forced AEW to cancel his planned match against Kyle Fletcher and scrap the original Hologram vs. Clone storyline. But in classic AEW fashion, they’ve found a way to pivot—by making the Clone the one who takes Hologram’s place.

With the Clone now officially part of the Don Callis Family and already making an impact, AEW’s roster just got a whole lot weirder—and more dangerous.

What did you think of AEW’s Clone reveal? Was this the right move after Hologram’s injury? Drop your reactions and theories in the comments.
