AEW and NJPW have collaborated on Forbidden Door events since 2022, and they’ve already announced that a 2025 event is going down. There has already been a lot of chatter about the show. The big question is where they will hold the show, since it was already revealed to be planned for London in 2025.

AEW’s Forbidden Door 2025 will be the first of its kind held outside North America and the fifth AEW event overall to take place outside the continent. It will also be the first Forbidden Door event held in August, with previous events taking place in June.

During a Q&A on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about where AEW will hold their 2025 Forbidden Door event. After all, it was already announced to go down in London, but a venue was not revealed.

“I believe it’s 02 arena. They are not planning Wembley. The Coldplay tour pushed them out of Wembley for next year, which I think is a good idea.”

Coldplay has a lot of fans, and they just may be able to book out Wembley Stadium with more fans than AEW. That created an issue, so the famous rock band will get the stadium instead of All In next year.

That being said, fans in London will have Forbidden Door to look forward to. They may not book Wembley Stadium for that show, but they also have a much better chance to filling up the O2 Arena to capacity for the AEW x NJPW showcase event.

We will have to see what AEW announces for next year. They have a lot of plans in the works, and they are certainly planning a return to the UK market for a big show.
