AEW World Title Match Added To Forbidden Door

The AEW World Title match is official for Forbidden Door.

The August 13 episode of AEW Dynamite went down at the Andrew J Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The show kicked off with Hangman Page and MJF having quite a back-and-forth promo battle.

MJF had a guaranteed contract for an AEW World Title match, thanks to his Casino Royale win. That meant he could cash in at any time, much like a Money in the Bank cash-in. However, he blew that tonight.

During a fun promo battle, MJF and Hangman Page ended things with the AEW World Champion getting the upperhand. After he got under MJF’s skin a bit, MJF finally erupted that he was cashing in his match at Forbidden Door.

Hangman Page ended things by calling MJF a “dumbass.” He certainly tricked him into giving away one big advantage, because the surprise is all over for the Salt of the Earth.

The AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 event will take place on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at The O2 Arena in London, England. Only time will tell who comes out of things as AEW World Champion.
