AEW’s November 12 episode of Dynamite didn’t waste time—it opened with a violent and bloody Women’s Blood & Guts match that left multiple stars battered and bleeding. Now, the graphic aftermath is out, and it proves just how real the pain was.
AEW posted several photos from the carnage on social media, including shots of Skye Blue smiling despite being absolutely covered in blood. She didn’t seem fazed in the slightest, clearly proud of what she put herself through in the match.
Skye Blue was said to be okay, after bleeding buckets in the Women’s Blood & Guts match.
Thekla also showed off a nasty facial cut but looked dead serious, while Megan Bayne posed with blood dripping down her face. One unnamed wrestler even revealed deep welts and torn-up skin—further proof that this was no ordinary match.
AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander went even further. She shared a jaw-dropping photo of her bloodied back, ripped up from crashing onto thumbtacks, and followed it up with a close-up of her own face after the match. But she kept it playful in true Statlander fashion.
“New hobby: acupuncture. Revisited hobby: putting Mercedes through a table. An honor to stand in the ring with all of the incredible women in Blood and Guts last night. Onward to Full Gear now.”
Unfortunately, not everyone made it out unscathed. Sources confirm Jamie Hayter suffered real injuries during the match. According to one insider:
“She got a little banged up and may have chipped several teeth.”
AEW’s Women’s Blood & Guts match pushed every limit and showcased just how far these athletes are willing to go. Between the cuts, blood, and broken bodies, one thing’s for sure—these women left it all in the ring.
How do you feel about AEW letting its women go to such extreme lengths in a match like this? Do you think it helped prove something, or did they take it too far? Let us know what you think in the comments.
