Injuries can happen anytime in the world of pro wrestling and AEW’s no exception, where injuries tend to happen often now. Unfortunately, it seems another AEW star is set to undergo surgery after sustaining an injury.

Mark Sterling revealed on last week’s episode of ROH on HonorClub that he has suffered a torn bicep and will need surgery. Fightful Select reports that the injury is real and not part of a storyline.

Sterling is set to undergo surgery this Thursday, with the expectation that he’ll be back on TV within a few weeks. While he won’t be cleared for in-ring competition, he will still be able to appear on shows and handle non-physical roles.

While the injury is a setback, the great news is that Mark Sterling will still be active on TV during his recovery. His role as a manager and on-screen personality is an important part of AEW and ROH programming, and fans will definitely be wishing him a speedy recovery.
