AEW Dynamite ended on a concerning note after PAC appeared to suffer a real injury mid-match, cutting the action short in dramatic fashion.
The April 10 episode of Dynamite followed up on the chaos of AEW Dynasty, with Swerve Strickland stepping into the ring to take on PAC. Earlier in the show, Swerve saved Kenny Omega from an ambush by The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada. Fired up from that scene, Swerve declared it was “Buck Hunting Season” before getting blindsided by PAC, kicking off their match.
But things went south fast. PAC took a nasty spill to the outside, landing awkwardly on his leg. Medical staff rushed over immediately to check on him. After a short delay, PAC got back in the ring, but the match ended within seconds—Swerve nailed the Swerve Stomp and scored the pin.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, “the injury is legitimate,” and the sudden finish wasn’t part of the script. It’s unclear how serious the injury is, but fans are already pouring in with messages of support for the former Death Triangle member.
AEW has yet to officially comment, but the visual told the story—PAC was in pain, and this wasn’t just a sell.
Here’s hoping PAC gets the care he needs and makes a speedy, full recovery.
