Zak Knight is out of AEW.

The 33-year-old wrestler, best known as Saraya’s brother, is officially a free agent after his contract expired, PWInsider.com reports.

Knight spent most of his AEW tenure competing on Ring of Honor programming, where he delivered solid performances but never broke through as a major player. He also had a few appearances on AEW Rampage, but a consistent role on Dynamite never materialized. His final match with the company went down in June 2024, but it wasn’t even on television—it was a dark match.

Before stepping into AEW, Knight built a name for himself in the UK wrestling scene under the ring name Zak Zodiak. He was also part of the inspiration behind the WWE Studios film Fighting with My Family, which told the story of Saraya’s rise in wrestling. Actor Jack Lowden played him in the movie, showcasing the struggles he faced while trying to make it in the business.

Now that his AEW chapter is closed, the obvious question is—what’s next? Will he head back to the UK wrestling scene, try his luck with WWE, or land somewhere completely unexpected?

Knight has yet to comment on his next move, but with the wrestling world constantly shifting, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him pop up somewhere soon.
