WWE and AEW may be rivals in the business, but that doesn’t stop friendships from thriving across promotions. One of the strongest bonds in wrestling today is between AEW star Deonna Purrazzo and WWE United States Champion Chelsea Green, and now, Purrazzo is revealing that she played a role in helping Green put together her title celebration on SmackDown.

Speaking to MuscleManMalcom, Purrazzo admitted she was a little jealous of her best friend’s success but couldn’t be prouder of what Green has accomplished.

“I’m jealous. Holy moly. I mean, I speak so highly of Chelsea. Obviously, everyone knows that’s my best friend. I don’t have a sister. If I had to liken my relationship to what it would be like to have a sister, that’s my sister.”

Purrazzo, who has a history degree, said she loved how Green incorporated U.S. history and government themes into her inauguration-style celebration after winning the title, adding:

“To watch her embrace being the United States Champion, using all the U.S. history, U.S. government history. She had a whole inauguration, which I loved helping her put together. It was just so fun. I’m just so proud. I’m so proud. Amazing.”

Purrazzo has been making her own headlines in AEW, but she’s keeping a close eye on Green’s journey in WWE. The two have shared the ring together countless times in the past, but could we ever see them collide again—this time with the WWE United States Championship on the line?
