AEW’s roster has been going through some serious shake-ups, with big names like Malakai Black, Ricky Starks, and Miro already out the door. But hold up—despite reports that Abadon and Nick Comoroto were among the latest to be let go, a new update says otherwise.

According to Fightful Select, “Regarding AEW releases, as of now Nick Comoroto and Abadon are still on the AEW roster after reports elsewhere indicated they could be released.” That’s a major contradiction to Dave Meltzer’s initial report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which claimed both had exited the company alongside Zak Knight.

Abadon, who signed with AEW in June 2020, last wrestled in December 2023 in a TBS Championship House Rules match against Julia Hart at Worlds End. Comoroto, meanwhile, debuted in 2020 on AEW Dark and last competed in ROH on HonorClub in August 2024 before undergoing hip resurfacing surgery.

While AEW has yet to officially update its roster page, this latest twist adds even more uncertainty to the situation. AEW President Tony Khan recently said he’s handling roster changes on a “case-by-case basis,” but with reports conflicting, it’s unclear what’s really going on behind the scenes.
