It was reported on Tuesday via @WrestleVotes that AEW has reportedly made an “outstanding” offer to a “current, big-time” WWE Superstar that is “almost too good to turn down.” At the time of press, WrestleVotes didn’t elaborate exactly who it was but we may have a good idea now.

While reviewing this week’s episode of SmackDown Live during the latest installment of Fightful’s post-show, Sean Sapp mentioned that he asked around earlier this afternoon and was told that “current, big-time” WWE Superstar that was talking to AEW was in fact Randy Orton.

Sapp said that he doesn’t know exactly if AEW offered him a contract but when reached out to AEW they told him that they are not tampering with WWE’s talents.

“Now they did not reveal the name and I know who the name is. Now before I get into this, I am not saying that this person was offered a AEW deal. I’m not saying that happened because I don’t if that happened. In fact, I asked people in AEW about this and I was told, “We are not tampering. We are not doing that. Our approach is fresh and independent is the goal for a majority of our recruitment. What you’re likely seeing is a particular agent trying to leverage more money out of WWE by possibly planting shit like this.”

“What I was told this afternoon, was that Randy Orton has been openly discussing his willingness to speak with All Elite Wrestling. “

There you have it. Many would consider Orton to be a WWE lifer but now with AEW around and making big money offers — you never know who could jump ship next.
