MJF just won the AEW World Championship at Worlds End, but his next big feud might already be in the works—and it’s not Bandido.

During a Self Made Session, Self Made Pro revealed that AEW is actively planning a major program between MJF and Omega. The match isn’t just fantasy booking—it’s something MJF himself is pushing for, and those in AEW are already talking.

“What I do know is that MJF would like to do that program because he feels there’s a lot more to do there. They didn’t really get to tell a story the first time — they just had a match. And so I know that he would certainly love to wrestle with him again.”

It was then noted that the decision to have the program may ultimately lie with the Best Bout Machine himself.

“I also know that other people in AEW are more than open to it and planning for it. This is going to come down to Kenny. If Tony Khan goes to Kenny and says, ‘Do you want to do a program with Max?’ and he says yes, it’s going to happen. So it’s up to Kenny — but they’re definitely planning it.”

Meanwhile, MJF’s first challenger as champion is already set: Bandido. The ROH World Champion and Dynamite Diamond Ring holder will face MJF for the AEW World Title on the January 14, 2026 Maximum Carnage edition of AEW Dynamite, live from Phoenix, Arizona.

While Omega hasn’t commented publicly, the possibility of a proper feud between the two is something fans can get behind—and could reshape AEW’s main event picture in 2026.

Do you want to see MJF vs. Kenny Omega turn into a full story-driven feud? Or would you rather see MJF defend against newer talent first? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
